Why Naoya Inoue Is “The Monster”

Picture
Recently it was announced that Naoya Inoue’s next fight would be against fellow bantamweight semi-finalist Emmanuel Rodriguez. This fight will take place on May 18th in Glasgow, Scotland. For those of you who haven’t heard of Inoue then let this article introduce you to him and show him why he is the monster.

There are four bantamweight champions, Naoya Inoue who is the WBC champion, the IBF champion, Emmanuel Rodriguez who is set to fight Inoue, the WBA bantamweight champion who is Nonito Donaire and the WBO champion, Zolani Tete. Inoue & Rodriguez are the only undefeated boxers which I mentioned and they are set to fight on the 18th of May and I definitely think Inoue will win this as just like the title suggests; he’s the monster.

Naoya Inoue Vs. Yoan Boyeaux (The Boxing Analysis)

Round 1:

Inoue waits to throw his first shot which turns out to be a body jab. He hits Boyeaux with a good body left hook. He loves his body shots. Boyeaux Lansing good shots but Inoue comes back with a great combination. Inoue makes Boyeaux back off and is trying to close him off. Inoue lands a fantastic jab cross. He knocks Boyeaux down with a perfectly timed left hook - superb boxing.

My Thoughts: What a knockdown! Inoue is such a fantastic boxer who can really time his shots to perfection.

Round winner: Naoya Inoue (10-8)

Round 2:

Inoue hits Boyeaux with some straight body jabs. Boyeaux is starting to land more but Inoue is coming back with fantastic shots. Naoya now starting to blatantly outbox Boyeaux.

My Thoughts: Another fantastic round for Inoue.

Round winner: Naoya Inoue (10-9)

Round 3:

Inoue hurts Boyeaux with a brutal looking body shot and down goes Boyeaux. He gets back up but Inoue chases him and knocks him down again when he’s on the ropes and Inoue throws a damaging body shot and down goes Boyeaux. To his credit, he gets back up but Inoue just furiously takes out the body of Boyeaux.

My Thoughts: Rest In Peace, Boyeaux’s body.

That was just one of Inoue’s fights and as you read there, he is an absolutely amazing boxer who will go far in the bantamweight division and is my prediction to win the world boxing super series with his next fight being on the 18th of May which I will be watching live and it’s going to be brilliant. This tournament is exactly what Inoue needs as it’s fantastic exposure - just look at Eubank who is fighting James DeGale tonight or the unified cruiserweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk who just defeated Tony Bellew and is heavily rumoured to fight Alexander Povetkin at heavyweight.

Keep your eyes open for Naoya Inoue as he is the real deal and has earned his monster nickname. With 17 fights, 17 wins and 15 knockouts, it’s safe to say that Naoya Inoue is a monster and at the age of 25 - he’s not slowing down anytime soon which is bad news for he bantamweight division.
