What’s Next For The Heavyweight Division?
We have a new WBC heavyweight champion and his name is Tyson Fury. I am very happy about this. The comeback from Fury being inactive and going on a drinking binge to coming back and becoming heavyweight champion truly is a remarkable story but it didn’t go without its doubters, myself included. I predicted Fury would win the first fight by decision in the first fight however I predicted a Wilder stoppage in the rematch and I was happy to be proven wrong. So, what’s next for the heavyweight division?
Let’s begin with the newly crowned champion, Tyson Fury. What’s next for the Gypsy King? Many desire a mouth watering unification with Anthony Joshua however the body-snatcher, Dillian Whyte stands in the way with his mandatory flag firmly cemented. Whyte is the mandatory for the WBC title and I do definitely seeing a fight between the two in the near future however I do not expect to see that night for either man. Fury may fight Wilder a third time but I think after Saturday night, there’s no need for a trilogy and Fury should move on. I think we will see Fury fight Whyte in the summer and I’m actually fine with that. I pray Fury wins though.
