Severn takes down Charles early on, Charles goes for a headlock. Charles goes for a guillotine but Severn escapes this and bursts Charles open. Severn applies a rear naked choke and it is absolutely singed in and Joe Charles has no other choice other than to tap out.
My Thoughts: Easy win for Severn.

There’s a 14 pound difference in this one. Verdicia slaps Taktarov and they end up on the ground. Verdicia remains on top. Taktarov scrambles for position and gets a choke and Verdicia taps out.

My Thoughts: Its been all submissions in the quarter finals. Good fight nonetheless though.

Hess runs and fly kicks Anderson. Hess is just a violent guy. Anderson gets on top of a grounded Jon Hess. Hess is also a grappler. He’s a massive guy as well, he kicks the head of Anderson, and it is stopped.
My Thoughts: Jon Hess is a dangerous guy, he’s a force to be reckoned with.

Royce Gracie Vs. Ken Shamrock
Shamrock goes to throw a few punches to Gracie and takes him down. Gracie hits a right hand to Shamrock. Gracie replicates the position he was 8n against his UFC 4 fight against Dan Severn - will it be a repeat? Shamrock tries and trials a few things but he just keeps getting held down by Royce Gracie. We’re approaching 15 minutes and he just keeps Shamrock in the position. He keeps his legs wrapped around Shamrock’s torso. We have now surpassed the half an hour mark and there’s a 5 minute overtime. Gracie just keeps Shamrock held down - 30 minutes! Gracie throws a few kicks to the back of Shamrock. The referee, John McCarthy gets them both up and there’s going to be a 5 minute overtime. Both men are visibility exhausted now. Gracie goes for a takedown but it’s Shamrock who lands a takedown. Gracie is busted open and it is declared a draw.
My Thoughts: This has not been my favourite 35 minutes of my life but Gracie was cut open bad.
Overall Thoughts: This was a decent PPV, it’s good to see the super fight happen but it didn’t live up to the hype.
