UFC 230 Predictions
This Saturday, UFC presents UFC 230 which went from a great looking card to a card which is still good but it’s not as half as good as it once was. At one point, 230 contained Rockhold Vs. Weidman, Diaz Vs. Poirier, Romero Vs. Costa but now it’s Weidman Vs. Souza, Diaz nor poirier is no longer fighting and Romero Vs Costa was cancelled almost right away. Despite the downfall, Cameron and Josh still made their predictions for the card and here they are.
Derrick Brunson. Vs. Israel Adesanya (Middleweight)
Cameron: This is going to be a great fight and a good opener. I think Israel Adesanya will win and will adapt the pressure and knock Brunson out in the 2nd round.
Prediction: Israel Adesanya (2; TKO)
Josh: The first fight on the main card is Derek Brunson Vs. Israel Adesanya. This fight is the first of FOUR middleweight bouts on the main card which is crazy. Israel Adesanya is only 29 and I definitely see him being the future of the division. Adesanya is undefeated and I see him winning this fight by decision. Brunson is good but if Adesanya wins this fight, he’s definitely on the fast track to the title.

Karl Roberson Vs. Jack Marshman (Middleweight)
Josh: The next fight is hard to predict. Jack Marshman who is 22-7 will fight and this is Marshman’s first fight in over a year. He had a knee injury and he is fighting Karl Roberson who is 6-1. In Robertson’s last fight, he tapped out in the first round but I see him winning this fight in the first round by submission.
Prediction: Karl Roberson (1; Submission)
Cameron: I’m going with Karl Roberson because Marshman was previously injured and I think that’ll be a factor - I expect this to go the distance.

David Branch Vs. Jared Cannonier (Middleweight)
Cameron: David Branch has the power advantage so I’m going with him.
Prediction: David Branch (2; TKO)
Josh: David Branch is set to have his 4th UFC Fight and his record in the UFC is 2-1 with the loss coming to Luke Rockhold. Branch is fighting Jared Cannonier who is 10-4 and this fight is really hard to predict but I’m going to say David Branch wins this fight by decision.

Chris Weidman Vs. Jacarce Souza (Middleweight)
Josh: Onto the co main event. Chris Weidman is fighting Ronaldo Souza and it’s hard to say who’s going to win this one. Weidman is infamously known for being the man who ended Anderson Silva’s historic title reign but he’s not been doing so good recently. Yes, he’s won his most recent fight but lost 3 fights in a row before that. Souza on the other hand, is 25-6. Souza is always hit or miss, sometimes he wins, sometimes he loses. I’m going to go with Weidman by an early submission.

Cameron: This is Weidman’s first fight in a while and he will win due to his stand up advantage. However, it could all change if Souza gets him on the ground. Although, Weidman does have a strong ground game.

Daniel Cormier (C) Vs. Derrick Lewis (UFC Heavyweight Championship)
Cameron: Daniel Cormier will win - both stand up and ground. Although Lewis can change it all with one hit,.

Josh: Main event time now and I definitely do think Cormier is winning this. However, do not underestimate Derrick Lewis, he can change a fight with one single punch as we’ve most recently saw against Alexander Volkov. Cormier will out strike Lewis, Cormier will out wrestle Lewis, Cormier is a better fighter and he is undefeated at heavyweight - no matter how hot Lewis’ balls are I’m going with DC all day and I even think we might see a Lesnar appearance although that might be unlikely as he’s in Saudi Arabia this Friday for WWE.
