UFC 226 Predictions

Written By Josh & Cameron
Picture
It’s time for the UFC 226 Predictions as Josh defends his newly won All Things MMA championship against rival, Cameron. The show is stacked and was even more stacked with Holloway/Ortega but even without that fight, this card is fire. Let’s get into their predictions.

Gökhan Saki Vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. (LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT)

Josh: We start the card off with a good fight between Gökhan Saki and Khalil Rountree Jr. I’m really looking forward to this fight and this should be good. Saki is undefeated in the UFC but he’s only had one fight so is that really impressive? Rountree is the man I’m going to predict for the victory, I think.

Prediction: Khalil Rountree Jr.

Cameron: These two men are absolute brawlers. I can see this going through a war and end in the 5th round with a unanimous decision victory for Khalil Rountree Jr.

Prediction: Khalil Rountree Jr.

Michael Chiesa Vs. Anthony Pettis (LIGHTWEIGHT)

Cameron: Chiesa is a good fighter but I don’t think he is ready for the man Anthony pettis I can see this ending early. I believe Pettis wins this fight in the 1st round.

Prediction: Anthony Pettis

Josh: This fight was suppose to be at Lightweight but it’s at Catchweight instead, which is a little upsetting but shouldn’t be that big of a factor. The thing with Pettis is you never know if he will win or lose, it really could go either way. Chiesa recently headlined a fight night against Kevin Lee and despite losing there, I think Michael Chiesa will win this one.

Prediction: Michael Chisea

Paul Felder Vs. Mike Perry

Josh: Up next is Mike Perry and Paul Felder at welterweight and I’m looking forward to this one. Felder is on a roll and Perry isn’t but I think it’s going to switch and think Perry will win and Felder will lose. It’s a hard one to predict but I’m going with Perry.

Prediction: Mike Perry

Cameron: Mike Perry is a brilliant fighter in my opinion but so is Felder. Despite that, I can see Perry coming out on top. I have to say that Perry wins third round TKO.

Prediction: Mike Perry

Francis Ngannou Vs. Derrick Lewis (HEAVYWEIGHT)

Cameron: Derrick lewis can mawl a lot of guys but when it comes to the predator Francis Ngannou there is no chance! I’m going with Ngannou winning in the second round.

Prediction: Francis Ngannou

Josh: Francis Ngannou and Derrick Lewis. This is crazy. I’m buzzing for this fight and I’m expecting a round one finish. Now, despite saying I’m expecting a round one finish it doesn’t mean I’m confident who’s going to win. I think Ngannou will win with one of his infamous uppercuts.

Prediction: Francis Ngannou

Stipe Miocic (c) Vs. Daniel Cormier (UFC Heavyweight Championship)

Josh: It’s time for the mainevent which is really interesting. When this fight was announced back in January, I was 110% expecting a Miocic victory but now as we approach the fight, I’m having doubts. I do think Cormier will win which sounds crazy but give me a minute. Cormier is undefeated in heavyweight competition, right? Daniel Cormier is the man, and I think the heavyweight championship is fingertips away from him- maybe.

Prediction: Daniel Cormier

Cameron: Cormier is one of the greatest wrestlers in the world (2nd to the main man Khabib) but I can see Miocic absolutely obliterating Cormier. Stipe Miocic 4th round for me.

Prediction: Stipe Miocic
