Tyson Fury Vs. Wladimir Klitschko (The Boxing Analysis)

Picture
Who doesn’t love a good boxing analysis, especially in the lead up to a big boxing fight such as Wilder Vs. Fury which if you didn’t know was THIS SATURDAY AT THE STAPLES CENTRE FOR THE WBC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP AND ALLTHINGSCOMBAT.COM IS COVERING ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING WITH THW WORDS WILDER OR FURY. Sorry about that, we just need to do a lot of content about this fight so let’s see what happened between the gypsy king and Dr. Steel.

Round 1

Fury is moving fast early on, showing off his head movement. Fury throws a left hook, Klitschko is pushing Fury back. It’s not often we see Wladimir Klitschko be the aggressor but he is fighting in Germany after all. They clinch and Fury throw some body shots. Fury utilising that left jab and they clinch again.

My Thoughts: Fury is so quick and he’s won the opening round but it was close.

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Round 2

Fury still using that jab, Klitschko is lightly moving around the ring, he is a fast man and Fury should be careful of that. Klitschko lands a jab of his own. Fury rushes in and lands a good combination, Klitschko leaps into a clinch.

My Thoughts: Another close round but I think I need to give it to Fury.

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Round 3

Klitschko starts throwing more shots but so does Fury. Fury starts moving around the ring, avoiding Klitschko‘ shots and is standing in the southpaw stance.

My Thoughts: So far I’ve got 3/3 for Fury - Klitschko needs to take action here.

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Score: Tyson Fury (30-27)

Round 4

Klitschko starts to land more shots and Fury starts to back off. Fury hits a good left hook and Klitschko puts him in a headlock. Fury starts chasing Klitschko and they clinch. Fury goes to hit Klitschko but Klitschko dodges this. They clinch again and the round ends.

My Thoughts: There’s been a lot of clinching.

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Round 5

The round begins with a front face lock - gotta love that and they clinch not long after that. Oh! Another clinch. Klitschko lands good shots. Another head lock by Klitschko. Fury hits some body shots in the clinch. This has been Klitschko’s best round in a while but Fury hits a great right hook.

My Thoughts: As I said, I thought this was Klitschko’s best round to this point but I still think Fury won.

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Round 6

Fury uses that jab well and he is throwing powerful shots. Klitschko goes for some punches but Fury’s head movement is too much. He’s a heavyweight who moves like a middleweight. Klitschko is more of a lover than a fighter, he would rather hug his opponent to death which is as exciting as watching grass grow.

My Thoughts: I think I’m starting to regret do this analysis and should’ve picked another Fury fight - too late now.

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Score: Tyson Fury (60-54)

Round 7

Klitschko is throwing shots for the first time in his career. Klitschko gets Fury in another front face lock and I think he’s going for a guillotine. On paper, you might think you would hear teeth flying and punches landing but to be honest, all you’re hearing is “stop, stop” from the referee splitting them up.

My Thoughts: Fury wins again but I’m slowly giving up.

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Round 8

Fury has stopped fighting Klitschko and is now fighting the wasps. This has been a goo- decen- fin- BORING fight.

My Thoughts: Onto the next round, the sooner the better.

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Round 9

Every time they clinch, Fury lands those body shots. At least somebody’s doing damage. Klitschko finally throws a right hook but it doesn’t land. Fury lands a great left hand and Klitschko is stunned he gets Fury in a grapple and Klitschko is annoyed now and just clinches Fury. ANGRY HUGS.

My Thoughts: I wonder if it’s too late to give up?

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Score: Tyson Fury (90-81)

Round 10

Fury hits a great fight hand but Klitschko continues to push Fury and tries to corner him off. Klitschko starts to go to work now but is it too late?

My Thoughts: I think Fury won this round but I’ve said that every other round.

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Round 11

Klitschko throws dozens of shots and doesn’t let Fury hit him. Fury starts to land good shots but Klitschko shows off his skills -too little, too late. Fury hits good left hooks.

My Thoughts: Fury won this round but he did punch the back of Klitschko’s head so it was 9-9. One more round and I’ll never need to watch this fight ever again.

Round Winner: Draw (9-9)

Round 12

Fury lands thunderous shots at the beginning of the round. Klitschko is hurt but Fury doesn’t stop there. He fakes the left hook and delivers with the right. Klitschko lands good shots when he’s got Fury in the clinch. Klitschko is desperate and Fury avoids these shots with his head movement.

My Thoughts: This was..something else completely.

Round Winner: Tyson Fury (10-9)

Score: Tyson Fury (119-108)

What a fight! Nah, I’m joking but at least Fury Vs. Wilder should be a lot better -at least I’m hoping. I’ve been Josh from AllThingsCombat.com and I’m going to think about what I’ve just seen.
