Top 5 Heels In Impact History

Written By David Ayres

Anyone remember when a heel use to be hated. I briefly remember that time. I got into wrestling because of a certain heel turn that will be mentioned later on. This list features the best heels since I started watching. So let’s start off with number 5.

5) Matt Hardy

When Matt turned heel to win the world title and Big Money Matt was born all though it was a short lived character because soon after this the broken universe would be born. The promos were exceptional. I'm not really a big Jeff hardy guy but when Matt was in tna from the moment he won his second world title by defeating EC3 in a career vs title last man standing match I instantly became a Matt hardy guy and considering that everyone preferred Jeff I'm very glad to see Matt be the star for a small amount of time because he deserved it from promos to matches and the broken universe. Matt deserves his place on this list

4) MVP

When MVP was announced as the new director of wrestling operations and actually seemed to care about his position as the onscreen authority role so when he broke all our hearts and turned on the world champion Eric Young and announced himself as EY'S opponent at Slammiversary one of the few times I was actually shocked at what had happened and what followed was a heel stable of three members MVP, Kenny King, Bobby Lashley now unfortunately MVP ended up not being able to compete at Slammiversary because of injury and so at the event Eric Young successfully defended his championship inside the steel cage against Bobby Lashley and Austin Aries

3) Taryn Terrel

When Taryn was at her best she did great things on the mic no one was better at playing the over the top annoying heel. Oh my God she was amazing it was and I mean this as a compliment a real bitch. The boos she was getting as the leader of the dollhouse when she was feuding with Gail Kim and trying to ruin Gail's marriage with the good chef Robert Irvine was unbelievable almost booed out of the building. Just outstanding work.

Number 2 and I struggled to separate 1 and 2.

2) Ethan Carter III

EC3 is a tremendous heel it took him no time at all to revel in his character as the arrogant spoilt nephew of Dixie Carter. The man did everything he could to annoy everyone by saying how he was undefeated and he was only there a few weeks when he said he was undefeated. And his opponents were "handpicked" by Dixie. He eventually started to prove himself by defeating every member of the tna hall of fame. Ec3 also had a list of great catchphrases from unbreakable unbendable undefeated. Which was all in ec3 last appearance for impact wrestling where he went through all his greatest hits in 1 terrific promo you must check it out if you haven't seen it already.

1) Bully Ray

And the number one heel in Impact Wrestling is..............
Bully Ray.
The best heel in impact wrestling without a doubt is the president of the Aces and Eights. The story line that got me hooked an awful person bully is from turning heel to win the world title and used Brooke hogan to get the opportunity the ultimate plan to become world champion was a success as D-von throws a hammer in to bully hits Jeff in the back covers him 1....2....3 And Bully is world champion he continues by grabbing the microphone and saying how he used hulk hogan how he "screwed" Brooke hogan all to fill his desire to be world champion. For the next year or so bully and the Aces and Eights continue and even when the aces and eights implode he still does some of the most despicable things ever like at the funeral of aces and eights he tells Ken Anderson he left a present in the coffin. Who recently had twins. He found 2 baby outfits in the coffin s the best heel I think I've ever seen he was my first and he will always be the best heel.
