Token’s 10 Matches You Need To See
Pro Wrestling is fun! Pro Wrestling is art! Over the years, there are matches that are always gonna be talked about for decades. Whether it's WWE, Impact Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Ring of Honor, etc. There are tons of matches that are must see as these matches include top notch action, great stories, and epic moments.
10) CM Punk Vs. Samoa Joe - ROH 2004
This has got to be one of the greatest matches in Pro Wrestling history! This match didn't even happen in bigger companies such as WWE or TNA. This match happened in Ring of Honor during the company's early days. Even Dave Meltzer gave this match 5 stars and he's a well known wrestling critic. The wrestling, the psychology, and the story of this match is top notch. This match is on YouTube so you can go watch this instant classic anyday now!
9) AJ Styles Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura- Wrestle Kingdom 10
This was the last WrestleKingdom match for both Nakamura and Styles as they both were heading to WWE. They made sure to put on an absolute classic to end their NJPW careers. In my opinion, this was the match of the night at WK 10 as these two beat the crap out of each other. Nakamura showed fans that he'll always be the King of Strong Style. AJ shower fans that he'll always be phenomenal.
8) America’s Most Wanted Vs. Triple X - Turning Point 2004
This was a very important match in the history of TNA. The story of this match is that the losing team must disband forever. Both teams beat the hell out of each other! The absolute memorable moment in this match was when Elix Skipper delivered a hurricanrana to Chris Harris off the top of the Steel Cage! That definitely put this match on the map as a must see match!
7) Abyss Vs. Judas Mesias - Against All Odds 2008
This match was hardcore! Abyss is known to be a hardcore legend in TNA and this match is another evidence that proves just that. Judas Mesias was a new character and he had been making Abyss's life a living hell for a while. It culminated to a Barbed Wire Massacre match at Against All Odds and they put each other through absolute hell!
6) Kurt Angle Vs. Sting - Bound for Glory 2007
Kurt Angle was a great hell during his early run of TNA. He pretty much won all the championships in that company at that time, but of course he was mainly focused on keeping the world title. Angle and Sting had a great rivalry too and the conclusion occurred at Bound For Glory. The match told a good story as Sting wanted to put an end to Angle's reign of terror. Also it was cool seeing Angle in his prime wrestle an icon in the wrestling business.
5) AJ Styles Vs. Samoa Joe Vs. Christopher Daniels - Unbreakable 2005
THE greatest triple threat match I've ever seen! These three wrestlers put on an absolute classic. Very rare do we get a 5 star triple threat match, and this match was just that. 5 STAR MATCH! This was also during the peak of TNA when the X-division was putting on great matches night after night. Styles, Daniels, and Joe all deserve an Hall of Fame induction alone just for giving us this great match.
4) The Undertaker Vs. Shawn Michaels- Wrestlemania 25
This match has been talked about for a whole decade now, and it's definitely not hard to see why. The story of this match was told fantastically by two of the greatest wrestlers of all time. I mean the story itself was very simple; Undertaker had his Wrestlemania streak on the line and Shawn Michaels wanted to end the streak. Simple story right? But man, once that bell rang these guys battled like their lives were on the line. The back and forth action was great, the story was great, and fans were on the edge of their seats! This match was the definition of a Wrestlemania match. Two icons wrestling on the biggest stage of them all.
3) Kurt Angle Vs. Chris Benoit - Royal Rumble 2003
This match right here is one of my favorite championship matches of all time! We have Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit as two of the best technical players of all time battling for the top championship in the WWE. This match had great technical wrestling along with back and forth brawling. One of the best technical wrestling matches ever! I can't say anything more about this match other than to go check it out if you haven't already.
2) Owen Hart Vs. Ken Shamrock - Fully Loaded 1998
This match was very entertaining to me. This match happened in Calgary, Canada inside the famous Hart Family Dungeon. Dan Severn was the guest referee for this unique match and played fair as Owen and Ken wrestled each other Olympic style. Not to mention, JR and Jerry Lawler's commentary made this match a little more entertaining. If you haven't seen this match before you must find it and check it out!
1) The Dudley Boyz Vs. The Hardy Boyz Vs. Edge & Christian - Wrestlemania 2000
This match was the first triple threat tag ladder match to ever happen in WWE (at the time WWF). These three teams all did their parts in this match as they brought action and defining moments to this match. Wrestlemania 2000 is honestly one of the worst Wrestlemanias pretty much the entire show featured multi man matches, but if there's one match you need to check out is this match right here.
