Smackdown Live Review (28th of May)
We're continuing the road to Super Showdown as this show featured action and promotions for the upcoming Saudi Arabia show. Let's take a look at what went down last night!
Kofi Kingston Vs. Kevin Owens
MITB rematch here as these guys put on a good match. I would say this match was as good as their match at the PPV. Owens manhandled Kofi through most of the match but overtime Kofi fought back. Owens had Kofi beat until Kofi nails a Trouble in Paradise for the win! I must say; ever since Kofi started getting the push of his career a couple months ago, the Trouble in Paradise finisher has been protected very well. Am I the only one who's noticed that? Literally anytime he uses that finisher he always wins with it. I actually like it though as it does look like a devastating finisher.
Smackdown Tag Team Champions Rowan and Daniel Bryan arrive as Bryan talks about how there's no tag division on Smackdown that could beat them. Well, he's right about there being no tag division on the brand. Rowan proceeds to tell a knock knock joke as the crowd wasn't feeling it. Bryan then claims that the two of them are the Planet's Champions. Interviewer Kayla Braxton informs them that there is one team who wants to challenge them and that team turned out to be Heavy Machinery! Tucker Knight says that it's time for Otis and himself to get serious as they challenge Bryan and Rowan to a match. Bryan and Rowan accepts, but they didn't want to wrestle in Oklahoma. So it looks like we'll be getting this match at some point soon and I actually can't wait to see it.

Carmella Vs. Mandy Rose
The theme of this match was Mandy showing off the latest Muscle and Fitness magazine with herself on the cover. Carmella was gaining momentum then Sonya Deville got her distracted by showing off Mandy on the M&F cover. Mandy took this opportunity to roll up Carmella for the win. This match wasn't anything special since it was short and over with.
Backstage, R-Truth continued running away from guys who are after his 24/7 title. Jinder Mahal again tried to pin him but was unsuccessful. Truth then hides as guys run around looking for him. When Truth tries to leave, Drake Maverick bumps into him then Truth runs away!
Shane McMahon, Drew McIntyre, and Elias arrive next as Shane talks about his match with Roman Reigns at Super Showdown. Shane then proceeds to show us a video package of highlights throughout his career and I must say it was great as always. WWE always do great with video packages. Elias starts to play his guitar and sing a song as R-Truth comes out from the crowd, being chased by Drake Maverick. Truth performs a reverse suplex on Maverick for a quick title defense then gets beaten down by the heels in the ring. Drew delivers a Claymore Kick then Elias pins Truth to become the new 24/7 Champion! Shane was so happy for Elias here that he books a tag match between Elias and McIntyre vs R-Truth and Roman Reigns. R-Truth's reign of being 24/7 Champion came to an end unfortunately but he was a great champion for a short time.

Bayley Vs. Lacey Evans
Charlotte was on commentary here for this match as she's after Bayley for the Smackdown Women's Championship. The match itself was fine as Lacey worked over Bayley as Charlotte taunts her. Bayley fights back and even hits Charlotte at one point. This prompted Charlotte to enter the ring but the referee stops her as Lacey Evans almost had Bayley beat with a roll up. Bayley reversed it into a roll up of her own and picks up the win! Afterwards, Lacey starts attacking Charlotte then was nailed by a Big Boot from her! Looks like the two of them couldn't get along any longer.
Roman Reigns & R-Truth Vs. Elias & Drew McIntyre
Truth was attacked by Elias and McIntyre before the match started but was still able to compete. Roman took control for half of the match until Truth came in to even the odds a bit. The heels gained control on Truth then once he made the tag to Roman, momentum picked up. Reigns and Elias were outside the ring til Shane can over to try to distract Roman. Roman hits Shane then grabs him as McIntyre attempted a Claymore Kick but misses. Roman then hits a spear on Elias for the win for his team! Almost immediately after the match ended, Truth pins Elias himself to REGAIN the 24/7 Championship! Good way to end Smackdown if you ask me.
