Smackdown Live Review- August 13
We're now on the road to Clash of Champions as this edition of Smackdown kicks off their perspective buildup to the PPV. This show was based around Roman Reigns' recent attacks as last week revealed that Rowan was near the site of the forklift incident that occurred two weeks ago. Roman Reigns came to this show looking for answers, so did he get the answers he wanted? Let's find out!
Kevin Owens opened up the show with a promo talking about his victory over Shane McMahon at Summerslam. Fans were behind him throughout the promo as they applauded him especially for getting rid of Shane from their television screens, as so they thought. He's interrupted by Shane himself who would call him a cheater for kicking him in the balls before Stunnering him. Shane then brings up the fact that he assaulted Elias, who was supposed to be a referee in that match. For punishment, Shane would fine KO $100,000 for assaulting Elias! KO becomes outraged by this and demands that Shane would drop the fine, but Shane refuses and walks off. After a commercial break, KO goes to Shane's office and confronts him face to face. Shane then states that if KO were to punch him, he would sue KO. Owens calms down for a little, then decides to throw a stool at Shane's TV screen and leaves.

Charlotte Vs. Ember Moon
Good match here as it was nothing but straight action from the two. Ember looked good from the beginning as she leaped onto Charlotte at ringside with a flying Crossbody. Charlotte returned the favor with a Big Boot then tool over from there. Match continues with more action then Ember attempted to hit the Eclipse, but Charlotte ducked out of the way and hits her with another Big Boot. She tops it off with the Figure 8 Leg Lock and Ember taps, thus Charlotte picking up the submission win!
Daniel Bryan and Rowan arrive next as Bryan addresses Buddy Murphy accusing Rowan of the forklift accident weeks ago. Daniel simply called Murphy a liar then gets angry when fans chanted "You did it!" as they didn't believe him. He the states that he will prove them wrong and walks away, along with Rowan. Daniel's passion in this promo made this epic as I love how he really gets into these promos and delivers them so well.

Roman Reigns Vs. Buddy Murphy
Damn good match! Buddy Murphy looked like a star in this match and Roman put up a good fight as well. Murphy repeatedly nailed Roman with multiple Knee Strikes, each of them looked effective too. Roman bounced back with Superman Punches left and right even at ringside where he hoped off the steel steps to deliver a big Superman Punch. Murphy would nail more Knee Strikes then hits a big Brainbuster for a very close near fall! Murphy would then climb the ropes but Roman knocked him off then hits him with a big Spear to pick up the win! This was a really good match and Murphy was able to shine big time here. Hopefully we get to see more of him going forward on Smackdown.
Kevin Owens Vs. Samoa Joe
Elias was appointed the special guest enforcer for this match before it began. The match itself wasn't anything special as it was pretty basic. KO attempted to hit the Stunner but Joe countered it into the Coquina Clutch. KO would slip out of it and hits a Pop Up Powerbomb but as the referee was counting the fall, Elias pulled him out of the ring. He would then take over as the referee and a furious KO would get in his face, then Joe rolls him up and Elias would fast count the pin! Samoa Joe defeated KO with an assist from Elias and Owens will definitely look for revenge.
Backstage we see Daniel Bryan and Rowan enter the locker room as they confront Buddy Murphy. Daniel immediately gets up in Murphy's face and demands that he lied about the accusations against Rowan. Buddy wouldn't say anything, so Rowan started attacking him. Rowan pressed Murphy's face up against the wall as Bryan continues to demand that he had lied about Rowan. Murphy caved and admitted that he indeed lied about Rowan being responsible for the forklift accident. Rowan ends it all by tossing Murphy over a trashcan.

The New Day Vs. Randy Orton & The Revival
Standard tag match here as both teams delivered some good action. Xavier Woods at one point was thrown over the announce table then Kofi suffered the same fate by Orton. Match continues for a bit then Kofi takes out Orton as Xavier battles the Revival on his own. He goes toe to toe with Dash Wilder then gets taken out with the Shatter Machine then Dawson covers him to pick up the win for his team! Afterwards, Kofi takes out Dash and Dawson then immediately receives an RKO! Orton wasn't done there as he RKOs Kofi for the second time then RKOs Woods and Big E to fully take out all three members of New Day!
Lastly, we see Daniel Bryan and Rowan talking as they're confronted by Roman Reigns. Daniel demands an apology from Roman for falsely accusing Rowan of his incident. Roman refuses then tries to fight them but Bryan insists that no physical confrontation will take place. Bryan then claims that he knows who's really behind the attacks, and will reveal the culprit next week on Smackdown.
Who do you guys think the culprit will be?
Show Rating: 7.6/10
