Rumble Reviews: 1991
It’s time for the fourth rumble review and this week it’s the review of the 1991 rumble. A match which should be decent, it’s been a while since I’ve watched this one. So far, we’ve reviewed the first three rumbles which have been - let’s just call them acceptable with the 1990 one being my favourite in the set so far. Every rumble has been getting better and better so let’s see if 1991 can continue the pattern.
Entrant Number one is none other than Bret Hart.
Out at number two is Dino Bravo who has competed in a couple of royal rumble matches. Hart almost eliminates Bravo immediately but he hangs on. Bravo takes Hart down and stomps into him. He scoop slams Hart and the two fight till number three enters.

Greg Valentine is out. He goes right after Bravo because there could only be one blonde in the ring. They exchange lunches and Hart jumps on the apron. This is a distraction for Bravo to hammer (no pun intended but it kinda is) into Valentine. Bravo is gone from the match. Hart hits a really nice clothesline which was really satisfying actually.
Paul Roma enters the match now. Will he win, will he hell! Him and Valentine double team Hart but Hart single teams them. The three have a little triple threat until number four.
It’s the Texas Tornado at 5 which looks NOTHING like the Ultimate Warrior. He tries to eliminate the hammer. It feels like everybody is after Hammer as Hart tries to put him out.

Rick Martel is here. Hart and Tornado go after Valentine, Nobody likes him.
Saba Simba is here and he’s going to mix things up. Roma tries to put him out but unlucky because he can’t get it. There is now 6 people in the match.
Bushwhacker Butch is out and he’s my pick to win this. He marches around and Simba is gone! Martel eliminated him by the way, Simba didn’t go just because Butch was marching. Butch hypes up the crowd as that’s what he does best.

Jake The Snake is here. Martel immediately goes after him but Jake (being the fresher man) destroys him, he delivers the short clothesline and Martel rolls out, Jake The Snake rolls out after him but he bumps into Valentine when he gets back in. Referee, Shane McMahon is counting Martel out (is that a thing?)
Number 10 and it’s the perfect 10: Hercules. Jake The Snake goes after Hart who goes after Martel.
And the award for the blandest ring attire goes to...Tito Santana? We’ll there’s a shocker! He tries to mix it up with red wrist tape -what a dare devil. We’re at 8 people in the ring now, which might be the most in the match so far?
At number 12, it’s the Undertaker? Am I saying that right? He eliminates Hart who lasted twenty minutes, good on him. He’s always had good rumble performances. Brother Love is accompanying him.
Jimmy Snuka comes out next. I think Taker eliminates Butch but that can’t be right? How can anybody eliminate Butch? If I HAD to make another prediction, I’d predict Number 27, just taking a guess.
The British Bulldog is out and teams with Texas Tornado to take out The Undertaker. Will they eliminate him? Time will tell. Snuka jumping headbutt’s Taker.

At number 16 is Smash from Demolition. Martel is smashing Jake The Snake in the corner. Smash and Bulldog encounter each other. Martel eliminates Jake The Snake while Martel was standing in the apron. Jimmy Snuka goes after Martel.
In the rumble is Hawk from the legion of doom and goes insane and goes after everybody but everybody goes after Hawk, at least 5 guys go after Hawk.
Shane Douglas is here and he’s going to change the game. That Undertaker fella eliminates The Texas Tornado. Hawk eliminates Jimmy Snuka soon after.
At number 18 is Randy Savage. However, he vacated the building instead of facing The Ultimate Warrior which is fair enough on his part.
At number 19 is Road Warrior Animal which means Savage is eliminated because he didn’t enter before the next number which means he’s disqualified? I’m going to bring this back up in 2017 and I’ll stick to that. The Legion Of Doom eliminates The Undertaker and probably sends him back to the bingo halls. Hawk celebrates and Martel and Hercules eliminates him.
The 20th participant is Demolition Crush, him and Smash team up.
Jim Duggan is out next hoping to recreate the 1998 royal rumble victory.
At 22, it’s earthquake who eliminates Animal, Earthquake battles it out with Duggan.
Mr Perfect enters the match now as he eliminates Jim Duggan which I’m surprised since Duggan just came in.
At 24, it’s everybody’s favourite hulkster, it’s Hulk Hogan and he immediately eliminates Smash, he goes after Earthquake as well.

Haku enters next but forget that because Super Hogan has eliminated Greg Valentine.
26 is Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart and for a second year in a row, must’ve forgotten his attire and had to switch with Bret’s. 27 is out next and is my prediction.
Oh my, at 27 is Bushwhacker Luke. He must win it. He marches in but IMMEDIATELY gets clotheslined over and marches off.

Brian Knobbs from the Nasty Boyz is out which is a little bit of a surprise.
Basically, The Warlord and Tugboat is next and Hogan wins because not only is he the hero we don’t need, he’s the hero we don’t want. But anyway, let’s search the leaderboard.
