RAW Review - September 2nd
We're continuing the road to Clash of Champions as matches are still being developed for the PPV along with the prestigious King of the Ring Tournament! The tournament is now entering the Quarterfinals, already almost near the finals as we speak. How did those matches do? Let's recap the show to find out!
Show kicked off with a contract signing between Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman for their Universal Championship Match at Clash of Champions. Both men give each other props, while taking shots at the same time. Once they've signed their names on the dotted lines, they're interrupted by The O.C. AJ Styles talks about how ridiculous it is for Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler to challenge for the RAW Tag titles because they're not a real team and that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were screwed out of their opportunity. He also states how unfair it is that he doesn't have a opponent for his United States Championship at the PPV as well. Once they got into the ring, Styles ripped up the contract then littered it til Braun tossed the table directly into his face and a brawl breaks out! Rollins and Strowman get the upper hand over the O.C. then this leads to a Tag match between the two of them against Gallows and Anderson.

Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman Vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson
Fine tag match as these guys continue their previous brawl from the segment before. AJ at one point cheap shoted Rollins at ringside, slowing him down for a bit. Gallows and Anderson had control over Rollins until he tagged in Braun and that's when business picked up. Braun went wild for a bit then tags Rollins back in for the finish. Karl Anderson rolled up Rollins but he counters and rolls up Anderson himself for the win! Immediately afterwards, AJ hops in and ambushed him. Braun saves him by running everyone down at ringside, including accidentally hitting Rollins too! Braun realizes he messed up but then out comes Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler to attack him. Braun and Seth fought back a little but couldn't overcome Roode, Ziggler, and The O.C. as they all lay out the two of them.
Cedric Alexander is backstage being interviewed about his upcoming King of the Ring Quarterfinals Match against Baron Corbin. As he talks about Corbin, he's unexpectedly ambushed by The O.C.! They lay waste to him then AJ Styles tops it off by throwing him against a crate, almost injuring his left arm.

Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler Vs. Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins
Y'all already know how this match went down. Ryder and Hawkins got some small offense in, but didn't come out on top. Roode nails Hawkins with the Glorious DDT and picks up the win for his team. Y'all remember when Hawkins and Ryder were tag champs earlier this year? Feels like a lifetime ago.
Lacey Evans Vs. Natalya
Basic match here nothing too special worth noting. Natayla I must say did look a little more intense here, showing some aggression. She's all over Lacey as Lacey was near the ropes then as the referee backs her off, Lacey throws her handkerchief at Natayla then immediately lays her out with the Woman's Right for the win.
Next we have RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch arrive as she talks about her familiar rival, Sasha Banks. She talks about how Sasha could've been in her position had she not been a sore loser and went on a hiatus for a few months. She also states that Sasha had no reason to be upset over anything as she was put on a pedestal in the company while Becky herself had trouble getting on TV. Sasha finally arrives and the two banter back and forth. Becky challenges Sasha to a fight right then and there, but Sasha does the typical heel move and denied the challenge. Sasha insists on fighting Becky at Clash of Champions for her RAW Women's Championship and Becky accepts that challenge. Sasha then states that once she's done with Becky, Becky will then be known as, "The Boss' Bitch!"

Baron Corbin Vs. Cedric Alexander (King Of The Ring; Quarter Finals)
I thought this was a good match! Cedric had the disadvantage because of the ambush by The O.C. earlier in the night, but he pulled out all the stops here in this match. Corbin was actually no slouch either as he tossed Cedric around like a ragdoll, but Cedric wasn't going down that easy. Some many near falls occurred too and each of them had fans on the edge of their seats especially for Cedric. Cedric attempted to hit a springboard maneuver but Corbin knocked him off the ropes and hits the End of Days for the win, advancing to the Semifinals!
Viking Raiders Vs. Local Competitors
Another squash match here as the Raiders absolutely destroyed their opponents. They put an end to them with the Viking Experience for the quick win.
Samoa Joe Vs. Ricochet (King Of The Ring; Quarter Finals)
Fine match but I kind of expected more? I don't know but I wasn't really into this match. Both guys beat each other up as they really want to advance further into the tournament. Ricochet went up to the top rope as he attempts to hit the 630 Splash, but Joe caught him before hand and applied the Coquina Clutch while they were still on the top rope! Ricochet knocks them both off the top and they land simultaneously with both of their arms covering each other. The referee counts the falls and confusion boils over. The referee then grabs a headset and talks to a backstage representative about what to do with the outcome of the match. Ricochet and Joe tried reasoning with the ref but the match was over and the ref went backstage to try to settle the score. Joe then goes after Ricochet and the two brawled back into the ring then Ricochet hits with with the Recoil to end it all.
The Firefly Funhouse returns! This edition of the Funhouse includes not only Bray Wyatt but Demon McMahon as well! Demon Vince was angry with Bray for challenging either Seth Rollins or Braun Strowman to a match at Hell in a Cell for the Universal Championship. Bray calms him down by flashing money in his face then feeds him a dollar bill. Bray then goes on to talk about how his Funhouse crew helps keeps him calm from pain, while The Fiend helps him afflict pain. He tops it off with his signature phrase, "Let me in......" So this sounds like the advertisement for HIAC is true, and that Bray might indeed face either Seth or Braun at the next PPV.
Corey Graves interviews referee John Combs, who officiated the Samoa Joe /Ricochet match. Before John could say anything, Baron Corbin interrupts him and states that he should advance to the finals instantly. Combs rebuttals by saying that neither Joe or Ricochet are eliminated from the tournament, and that they both advances to the Semifinals! Finally, he announces that next week, Corbin will face both men in a Triple Threat Semifinal Match!

The Miz Vs. Cesaro
Basic match here but overall not a bad one. Cesaro continues to show dominance as he was throwing Uppercuts at Miz like they were nothing. Miz fought back as expected, then executes the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.
Becky Lynch & Bayley Vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
This was a decent match but a match I couldn't get into as well. Decent back and forth action between the two teams made this a competitive match for sure. Sasha Banks arrived to watch from ringside, distracting Becky and even Bayley for a minute. Becky had both Nikki and Alexa in a corner when Sasha ran in to attack her, ending the match in a DQ. Sasha grabs a chair and hits Becky in the back but before she could continue the beatdown, Bayley grabs the chair from her. Bayley stares down Sasha, with the chair in her hand, and fans were getting pumped up as they wanted to see something go down. They sure got what they wanted as Bayley starts walloping Becky with the chair!! Fans went nuts for this and Bayley kept beating Becky down to close the show. Bayley did this with a big smile on her face and her bond with Sasha has grown more than ever.
