NJPW Dominion 6.9 Predictions

NJPW Dominion is tomorrow and the card is looking fantastic with dream matches like Chris Jericho against Tetsuya Naito, a rematch for the ages as Kenny Omega battles for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against the longest reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Kazuchika Okada.

Suzuki Gun (El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) Vs. Roppongi 3K (IWGP Junior Tag Team Championship)

As the Young Bucks head towards the heavyweight scene, it’s going to be a big loss towards the junior heavyweight scene but I think the division is going to be fine. Sho and Yoh were great in the best of the super juniors and I think they will regain the titles.


Prediction: Roppongi 3K

CHAOS (Jay White & Yoshi-Hashi) Vs. Taguchi Japan (David Finlay & Juice Robinson)

Previously, Finlay lost to White and it is looking like Robinson is in line for a title shot but it’s hard to tell who will win this one.


Prediction: Taguchi Japan

Suzuki Gun (Zack Sabre Jr. & Minoru Suzuki) Vs. CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano)

This match has clear winners and I think this might be the easiest match to predict.


Prediction: Suzuki Gun

Hirooki Goto (c) Vs. Taichi Vs. Michael Elgin (NEVER Openweight Championship)

The safe option is Goto I think. I don’t think Taichi will win but I’m not too sure. Elgin has a good chance so it’s really 50/50 here but I’m going for a title retention.


Prediction: Hirooki Goto

Los Ingobernables (EVIL & Sananda) Vs. The Young Bucks (IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships)

This is a really hard match to predict. This is The Bucks’ first Tag Team Match in the Heavyweight Tag Team Division but L.I.G really has a good tag team ability and they can hold their own but I think I have to go for a Young Buck victory.


Prediction: The Young Bucks

Rey Mysterio, Juyshin Thunder Liger & Hiroshi Tanahashi Vs. Bullet Club (Cody, Marty Scurll & Adam Page)

This feels like an absolutely crazy match. You’ve got 3 legends which takes on the Bullet Club. This is Mysterio’s first ever NJPW match and will bring many eyes to the show. Scurll is going after legends so it makes sense he’s here. It’s hard to tell who will win this one.


Prediction: Mysterio, Liger & Tanahashi

Will Ospreay (c) Vs. Hiromu Takahasi (IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship)

Wasn’t the super juniors great? Yes it was and Takahasi was fantastic, beating Taiji Ishimori in the finals. Ospreay has been a good Champion so far and I’m confident his reign will continue. I’m expecting this match to be one of the best of the night -possibly being the best.


Prediction: Will Ospreay

Tetsuya Naito (c) Vs. Chris Jericho (IWGP Intercontinental Championship)

This match along with the next one is going to bring a lot of eyes to the show. Jericho is a big name in Japan and when he’s there, a lot of mainstream attention follows him. Naito has had a weird year so far and I’m prepared for it to get weirder as I think he will lose the Intercontinental Championship!


Prediction: Chris Jericho

Kazuchika Okada (c) Vs. Kenny Omega (No Time Limits, 2 out of 3 falls; IWGP Heavyweight Championship)

This is something. This match SHOULD be absolutely brilliant and I cannot wait to see how this one plays out. All 3 of their matches has been straight-up bangers. I think this match will pass the 2 hour mark to be honest. I think this match will be great.
