12-1 heavyweight boxer, Martin Bakole recently signed with Eddie Hearn‘s Matchroom Boxing and will be making his debut for the stable on Friday night for the JDNXTGEN show. He take on Ytalo Perea who is 26 years old and it should be a good fight. Martin Bakole has a big career ahead of him and today we will be looking at him.
Bakole made his professional debut back in March of 2014 and he won his first fight against a debuting Cecil Smith. Bakole won via knock out and Smith never boxed again. His next fight was against 0-1, Chris Mbombo who Bakole who again knocked out. At a record of 10-0, Bakole fought at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland and boxed DL Jones on the Josh Taylor & Viktor Postol undercard and Bakole won the fight in a matter of seconds. This would also mark Jones’ last fight in the ring.
Bakole would then fight again later in the year against Michael Hunter who only had one loss and that was against recently turned heavyweight, Oleksandr Usyk. The fight didn’t go well for Bakole who injured his shoulder and Hunter took the win. This didn’t stop Bakole’s journey however as he went on to fight Mariusz Wach in Poland where Bakole won and later in the year he signed with Eddie Hearn.
Billy Nelson, Martin Bakole’s trainer said at the start of Bakole’s career that Bakole is going to be a big name in the heavyweight division and with the new signing, a lot of fights open up for Bakole and this really exciting for the division and the future of Martin Bakole’s career.
