Who honestly would’ve thought this PPV would turn out to be a thumbs up show?! Most of the matches tonight delivered pretty well, especially the main event. Going into this PPV, the match card didn’t look that great but I must say I was pleased with this PPV overall. Let’s review the matches and the outcome of each matchup.
Preshow: Akira Tozawa vs Buddy Murphy (c) for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. This match was good and had some good action. Buddy Murphy continues to impress fans and shows why he’s the real deal. Buddy Murphy wins and retains the Cruiserweight Championship.

The Womens Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber

The match itself was fine I honestly didn’t find it too special until the ending. Carmella/Naomi were eliminated first by the IIconics. IIconics were then eliminated by Nia Jax/Tamina. They then eliminated the Riott Squad. Finally the two of them were eliminated and it came down to Sasha/Bayley and Mandy Rose/Sonya Deville. Match ends with Sasha implying the Bank Statement on Sonya and Sonya tapped out. Sasha Banks and Bayley win the match and become the Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The Miz & Shane McMahon (C) Vs. The Usos (Smackdown Tag Team Championships)

This match was fine and picked up a bit at the end. Shane McMahon does the famous elbow dive to the announce table on Jey Uso while in the ring, Miz applies the Skull Crushing Finale to Jimmy. As Miz pins Jimmy, he counters it and scores a surprise pinfall of Miz. The Usos win and become the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions.

Bobby Lashley (C) & Lio Rush Vs. Finn Balor (WWE Intercontinental Championship)

Lashey dominated Finn in this match and he looked impressive. Lio Rush played his part well and the two of them took turns beating down Balor. Balor comes back and does the Coup De Grace on Lio Rush to win the Intercontinental Championship. After the match, Lashley was so pissed that he lays waste to Lio Rush with a huge spinebuster. I can’t say this a breakup, but more of Lashley being frustrated with Lio for losing the match and the championship.

Ronda Rousey (C) Vs. Ruby Riott (RAW Women’s Championship)

Charlotte Flair was ringside for this match and after how this match went down, she didn’t have to be. This just pissed me off because this was a total squash match and Ruby Riott deserves better than that. I knew she wasn’t gonna win the match of course, but damn they did her wrong here. Ronda Rousey wins and retains her RAW Women’s Championship.
After the match, Charlotte steps into the ring and the two of them have a stare down when suddenly Becky Lynch shows up through the crowd on crutches. The three of them now have a stare down and next thing you know it, Becky starts whipping Charlotte and Ronda with her crutches. She nailed Ronda good because Ronda was busted open in the head. Crowd was going wild for Becky this whole beatdown and this proves that she absolutely will main event Wrestlemania this year. She’s a bad ass, plain and simple.

Braun Strowman Vs. Baron Corbin (NO Disqualification Match)

This match was okay and typical NO DQ with very limited weapons. Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley interfere, assisting Corbin in beating down Stroman. Baron Corbin picks up the win here.

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber

This was the match of the night! A great main event and once again Kofi Kingston put on an outstanding showing in this match. Samoa Joe was first eliminate by AJ Styles. Daniel Bryan then eliminated Jeff Hardy. Styles was eliminated by Randy Orton with a unique RKO off the ropes. Kofi eliminated Orton and it comes down to him and Bryan. These two put on some awesome back and forth action and the near falls were very nerve racking. Kofi had near falls that made fans believe he was gonna win the championship and I must admit I was one of those people lol. Match ends with Kofi missing a big dive off one of the chamber pods and Bryan nailing him with the running knee. Daniel Bryan wins and retains the WWE Championship.
Kofi Kingston is the man and definitely deserves a world championship one day!
