David Haye Vs. Tony Bellew 2 (The Boxing Analysis)
Last year, David Haye battled eleven rounds with Tony Bellew but Haye failed. Last night it was all about revenge or redemption. Let’s take a look at the fight in the boxing analysis.
Round 1
Both fighters missed their first body shot. They’re just sizing each other up so far. Bellew throwing more punches than Haye so far. Haye hits a decent body shot towards the 40 second mark. Not much notable so far NJPW that’s just a typical first round.
My Thoughts: A typical opener to what will be a great fight.
Round Winner: David Haye (slightly)

Round 2
Bellew is now aiming for headshots and every time he tries to move forward, Haye blocks his path. Haye hits a body combo but Bellew literally shrugs it off. Haye goes for punches but Bellew throws his arms up and Haye does the same. This has been a slightly better round for Bellew but he needs to work on Haye in the later rounds.
My Thoughts: Better round for both men.
Round Winner:David Haye

Round Winner:David Haye
Round 3
Bellew is showing his true colours now. He’s coming out of his shell. He’s getting more restless with headshots. Haye not blocking as much and as a result, Bellew knocks him down. It’s not the last time either as Bellew knocks him down and Haye has just been saved by the bell.
My Thoughts: Fantastic round for Bellew, he has to keep pushing Haye. What Haye needs to do now is do more blocking, simple as that.
Round Winner: Tony Bellew

Round 4
Bellew is catching Haye with punches but yet the haymaker is barely doing any blocking whatsoever. The only blocking he is doing, is ducking punches and I don’t even think that counts to be honest. Haye hits the occasional punch on Bellew but it’s not exactly damaging Bellew. Haye isn’t looking good.
My Thoughts: If Haye doesn’t block, he won’t go another round. It’s literally that simple. Blocking is just as important as punching in boxing.

Round 5
Haye is eating Bellew’s punches for dinner at this point. Bellew hits Haye and Haye belly flops the canvas but beats the count and gets up for the third time. Bellew beats Haye against the ropes and history repeats itself as Bellew comes out victorious just like I predicted.

Personally, I thought it was a great fight and I thought it’d go till like the 7th round when the fight began but apparently not. In the next few days, a blog will be out about where the fighters should go after this one.
