Anderson Silva: Retirement Or Return?

Picture
Anderson Silva is one of the most popular names in UFC history. He’s one of the all time greats and holds the record of the longest UFC title reign in history spanning a total of 2457 days which translates to 351 weeks, 80 months, 6 years, 58,968 hours and get ready for this one. Anderson Silva had the middleweight title for 3538,080 minutes. That’s a lot of minutes. But at the age of 43, how long can the spider keep going for?

Anderson Silva has a record of 34 wins and 8 losses. That is a good record. His last fight was against Derek Brunson at UFC 208 where Silva was victorious. But what else can Anderson Silva do? Where does he go from here? Anderson Silva is an MMA legend and I hope he has another fight. But I don’t want to see the man fighting at the age of 45, as I previously mentioned he’s currently 43. Silva is still good but nowhere near as good as he was back in the day. I think it’s time he retires.

Anderson Silva’s next fight should be his last. He’s done all he could do and should enjoy retirement. If I had to pick who his last opponent would be, I’d choose Nick Diaz. Give Silva another chance to prove himself that he can beat Diaz clean because I really think he can.
