We're continuing the road to AEW Revolution and things are heating up each and every week! This edition of Dynamite featured a big 8 Man Tag as The Lucha Bros team with The Butcher and The Blade to take on The Elite! Jon Moxley also continues to have problems with The Inner Circle and this time he stepped into the ring with Ortiz as he heads to Revolution to end Chris Jericho's reign as Le Champion. So much to look forward on Dynamite and now the question is did the show exceed expectations? Let's recap the event to find out!

Jon Moxley Vs. Ortiz

Good match to kick off the show. Le Champion Chris Jericho joined the commentary table along with Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager as they observe the matchup personally. Ortiz battled Moxley with such speed as he was quick with his moveset, but Moxley wasn't gonna let him take control for too long. Santana attempted to get involved a few times but that wasn't enough for Ortiz to get the advantage as Moxley emerged victorious with the Paradigm Shift! Santana immediately jumped in to attack Moxley afterwards but Moxley overcame him and dropped him with the Paradigm Shift as well! Somehow, Moxley then grabbed Chris Jericho's car keys from Santana, clearly upsetting Le Champion. Moxley then picks up Santana then with the keys in his hand, he proceeded to spike Santana in his right eye! Total payback from what Jericho did to him weeks ago and man that looked brutal!

SCU Vs. Best Friends

Solid tag match that featured some highlighted action. Both teams delivered some big double team moves while the man Orange Cassidy himself kept cheering his buddies Chuckie T and Trent on. After a few minutes of action, SCU managed to gain the win as Scorpio Sky kicked Trent in the face then allowed Frankie Kazarian to pin him. The two didn't get the chance to celebrate as The Dark Order stormed out and attacked Sky and Kazarian! After laying them out, Orange Cassidy would roll in and confront Evil Uno face to face then Uno tries to offer Cassidy a spot in the group by presenting their signature mask. Cassidy just simply put his hands in his pockets and that didn't sit too well with Stu Grayson as he laid out Cassidy immediately afterwards. Christopher Daniels then runs out for the save but Dark Order wants no part of him so they backed off. Seems like Dark Order still wants to convince Daniels to join up with them but from the looks of it, Daniels absolutely has no intentions of doing so.

Britt Baker Vs. Yuka Sakazaki

Short match here as Yuka got to showcase a bit of what she's capable of in the squared circle. Britt Baker didn't do a whole lot in this match but once she got the ball rolling, Yuka managed to roll her up for the surprise win! Baker clearly was angry about this so she went and grabbed the ring bell and clocked Yuka in her back! Baker then dragged her by the bottom rope and hooked her whole mouth onto it. Brutally, Baker would then stomp on Yuka and this caused Yuka to bleed from the mouth and loose a tooth! This looked nasty and Baker sure looked evil while committing such a heinous act. This was the start of what heel Baker could do going forward.

The Lucha Bros, The Butcher & The Blade Vs. The Elite

Fun match! I knew going into this that both teams would deliver some fun action and guys they sure did not disappoint. The chemistry between Lucha Bros and Young Bucks were amazing as whenever they squared off, they tore the house down! So many unique double team sequences and even triple team sequences made this match fun and there's just too many to name. The Young Bucks attempted to set up for the Meltzer Driver on The Butcher but Hangman Page insisted on tagging in to nail the Buckshot Lariat. Page ended up missing the shot and Butcher took him out for the remainder of the match. It came down to Kenny Omega and Pentagon Jr. and Omega had the match in the bag, but that wasn't the case as Pentagon got a hold of him in the Package Piledriver and nailed the move for the three count! Lucha Bros, The Butcher and The Blade came out on top and again this was a really fun match.

Joey Janela Vs. Kip Sabin

I was not a fan of this match whatsoever. For two guys who absolutely despise each other, there wasn't much action that went into this match. There where moments for sure such as Sabian knocking Janela off the apron to the steel steps, then Penelope Ford took a shot at him while Sabian distracted the referee. Penelope again would get involved and distracted Janela to the point where Sabian rolled him up for the fluke win. Like I said, this match wasn't great and maybe a rematch will occur sometime soon

MJF along with Wardlow arrived next as we were prepared to witness Cody being lashed 10 times in his back. MJF absolutely couldn't wait to do this so he could embarrass Cody but it was something Cody had agreed to do. Cody comes out and before the lashing began MJF demanded that he uses Cody's belt instead of his own so he couldn't waste his leather apparently. MJF one by one would lash Cody fiercely. Mark after mark being added to Cody's back and he's clutching his fists, grinding his teeth, groaning in pain. Most of the heels on the AEW roster would come out on stage and watch the whole thing in awe. Dustin Rhodes, Brandi Rhodes, and The Young Bucks would all come out and try to consult with Cody, but MJF would shout at them that Cody had to go through this whole ordeal. After lashing Cody 9 times, Wardlow insisted on getting in the last shot and he completely lashed Cody for the 10th and final time! Cody's peers then came in immediately to help him up, then MJF gave the man a low blow before dashing away through the crowd with Wardlow to close the show on a high point, well for himself at least.

Show Rating: 8/10
