This edition of the AEW Dynamite was set around two Semifinal Tag Team Tournament Matches, along with the anticipated main event between PAC and Jon Moxley! We're on the road to Full Gear and things are looking to heat up as we get closer and closer to the PPV event. Let's get straight to the recap and check out what went down!

Private Party Vs. The Lucha Bros (AEW Tag Team Tournament; Semi-Finals)

What a way to kick off the show! This match was balls to the walls action as both teams fought hard for a chance to make it to the finals of the tournament. There was a lot of big spots in the match but the one that stood out the most was when Pentagon Jr. was sitting on the top rope as Marq Quen attempted the Hurricanrana then as Quen leaps him off wit the move, Pentagon takes out Isiah Kassidy with the Canadian Destroyer! Fènix takes out Quen with a huge dive outside the ring as Pentagon finishes Kassidy off with the Package Piledriver for the win! The Lucha Bros advances to the finals and this is a match that you guys have got to watch it you haven't already.

SCU Vs. The Dark Order (AEW Tag Team Tournament; Semi-Finals)

This match was good for what it was as it wasn't as impactful as the first match, but it was still well done. During the match, The Inner Circle arrives through the crowd as they've apparently bought tickets to the show and got seated up in the luxury skybox. Dark Order took control for half of this match, especially Uno as he looked dominant. Frankie Kazarian then goes wild especially by taking out both Uno and Grayson with unique Flipping DDTs! Scorpio Sky comes in and along with Kazarian takes out Grayson for the win! SCU advances to the finals and will face The Lucha Bros next week to crown the first ever AEW World Tag Team Champions!

Kenny Omega Vs. Joey Janela

This was a stiff, yet amazing match! These two men have good chemistry together and each time they step into the ring, you will always expect some hard hitting action. Omega was weakening Janela from the jump with his amazing strikes and kicks as each hit staggered Joey for a bit. Joey wasn't gonna go down that easily and he brought the pain back to Omega with fierce strikes of his own. Joey at one point attempted to hit a Senton but Omega dodged it, making Janela crash and burn on the ring apron! Omega comes back in and absolutely annihilates Joey with a wicked V-Trigger then finishes it off with the One Winged Angel for the win!

Next we have an impromptu interview as Tony Schiavone interviews Cody. Cody was set to talk about his upcoming title match against Chris Jericho at Full Gear, but there was one problem, The Inner Circle were still in the skybox. As soon as Cody started talking, Inner Circle startes interrupting Cody by blowing off air horns and talking very obnoxiously. Cody gets irritated as expected and tries to tell Inner Circle to knock it off, but Jericho grabs a mic and starts trash talking Cody himself. He calls Cody weak, claiming that he can not beat Jericho on his own. Cody then takes his blazer off, teasing he'll go after Jericho but he was outnumbered. Jericho brags that it's 4 on 1 and that Cody would get destroyed, then this prompted for Cody to gain backup. Joining Cody were the likes of Dustin Rhodes, MJF, and DDP!! All 4 guys go up to the skybox and the Inner Circle locks themselves in a room behind a glass door. Cody was then handed MJF's scarf to wrap it around his hand and punches a hole through the glass, then a big brawl breaks out! All 8 men brawled to the concession stands and it was chaotic as there were fans and security guards and referees everywhere! The buildup to Cody and Jericho's match keeps getting better week after week and this was no different as it was a fun and wild brawl.

The Young Bucks Vs. The Best Friends

Another good Tag match here as it was both teams brought their best agility and maneuvers to the mix. Orange Cassidy accompanied the Best Friends to the ring and even stepped up to the Bucks by Superkicking both of them in their shins, but gets taken out with Double Superkicks by them afterwards. The match featured spots and big dives, even at one point Cassidy got on the top rope and performed a big dive of his own! The Young Bucks ended up hitting Chuckie T with the Meltzer Driver for the win! Afterwards, Matt Jackson grabs a mic and officially confirms that they will face Santana and Ortiz at Full Gear! What a match that will be.

Britt Baker Vs. Jamie Hayter

Britt Baker got a huge hometown welcome as this show was held in Pittsburgh, PA. The match itself was good, but I didn't think it was anything too special. Jamie is a tough woman for sure as she would toss Baker around the ringside area and even beat her down in the ring. Baker would fight back as she gained momentum from the Pittsburgh crowd and even though she struggled along the way, she was able to pull through at the end. Baker applied the Lockjaw for the submission win and celebrated with her Pittsburgh natives!

This next segment was really weird. Jamie Hayter was about to be interviewed to talk about her loss to Britt Baker when out of nowhere, Brandi Rhodes comes from behind and tosses Jamie to the curtains. The interviewer asked Brandi what the deal was and Brandi didn't say a word. She just looked at the interviewer and walk away. I wonder what that was all about.....

Jon Moxley Vs. PAC

Moxley was ambushed by PAC from behind with a chair as he was making his way to the ring and this caused him to be in fatigue for a while. The match officially begins and PAC was still in control early on in the match. Minute by minute, Moxley would slowly make a comeback and once he got his momentum, he went wild. He nails PAC with a wicked Clothesline and had PAC beat with the Paradigm Shift. Now as this main event went on, they were running on the remaining TV time limit and after Mox laid out PAC with his finish, there was only a few seconds left into the match. Moxley pinned PAC but he kicked out at the last second and as a result, the match ended in a time limit draw. Fans booed loud and Moxley was clearly upset then he decided to nail the referee with the Paradigm Shift to close out the show!
