AEW Dynamite: Bash at The Beach Review
For the first time since the days of WCW, we get to here the name Bash at the Beach again! This time, AEW hosts the special event from Miami, FL as we were in for a unique event. After turning down The Inner Circle's offer to join the group, Jon Moxley now has the group coming after him as he only wants one thing and that's Chris Jericho's AEW World Championship. How does The Inner Circle respond to his rejection? Let's take a look at Bash in the Beach to find out!
Kenny Omega & Hangman Page Vs. Santana & Ortiz Vs. Best Friends Vs. The Young Bucks
This match determined the new #1 contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Championships as the winners would face SCU for the gold next week on Dynamite. This was a chaotic yet great opening match as each team held nothing back in their quest for tag team gold! Each team got to display some unique double team maneuvers including some high spots that had the fans on their feet. The big spot of the match was when all 4 teams got into one big Suplex position, and this included Orange Cassidy, and they all would have a scuffle to see who would Suplex one another first. Finally, the left side of the teams would gain the advantage and Suplexed the right side of the teams! Match continues and it was all action as Young Bucks dived onto their opponents on the outside of the ring while Santana joins them with a big dive of his own. In the ring we see Kenny Omega and Adam Page work together as they nail Chuckie T with a Buckshot Lariat/V-Trigger combination for the win! Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page will indeed challenge SCU for the AEW World Tag Team Championships next week on Bash in the Beach Part 2!
Next we have Cody respond to MJF as MJF laid out a challenge to face Cody at AEW Revolution. Cody addresses how in order for him to get to MJF, he must agree to follow three steps that MJF had made up himself. The first step is that Cody can not touch MJF until Revolution. The second step is MJF can literally whip Cody in the back with a lash 10 times. The last step is for Cody to face Warlord in a Steel Cage Match! Cody agreed to steps 1 and 3 easily but step 2 was the one he was hesitant on. He just couldn't believe the idea of being lashed by MJF just for them to have a simple one on one match. After thinking about it, Cody at the end of the day wants go get his hands on MJF so he finally agreed to all three steps and will go through with them over the next couple of weeks. Cody is now set to face Warlord in a Steel Cage Match at Dynamite on February 12th as the show will be held in Atlanta, GA!

Brandi Rhodes & Mel Vs. Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander
Awesome Kong was originally scheduled to compete here but she was unfortunately under the weather, so Brandi Rhodes took her spot. The match itself wasn't that special as Mel mainly did all of the work for her team as Brandi basically got 1 move in throughout the match. Shida and Statlander fought off Mel and Brandi including Luther then Statlander puts Mel away with the Big Bang Theory for the win for her team.
Sammy Guevara Vs. Jon Moxley
This match was to determine who would face either Darby Allin or PAC next week in a #1 Contender's Match for the AEW World Championship. Fine match as Sammy came into this with revenge against Moxley for him turning down the offer to join The Inner Circle last week. Sammy actually had Moxley under control for half of the match until Moxley came back near the conclusion of it all. Sammy attempted to hit a Moonsault of some sort off the top rope but Moxley actually caught him into a Sleeper Hold for the abrupt submission win! Afterwards, Chris Jericho's theme song plays but then the lights went on. Once they came back on, The Inner Circle were in the ring and they all beat down Moxley! Each member got their own shot in on Moxley and the man was just defenseless. Chris Jericho was wearing his spiked jacket then took it off as members of The Inner Circle held Moxley up. Jericho took a piece of a spike off the jacket then proceeds to hit Moxley in his right eye with it! Moxley was left damaged in the eye to the point where officials ran out to help to held aid him as he couldn't stand on his own. The Inner Circle left Moxley beaten and battered as they made a statement, showing everyone that you don't turn them down once they've made an offer to you or else consequences would be made.
MJF, The Butcher & The Blade Vs. QT Marshall, Dustin Rhodes & DDP
This was DDP's first televised match in a long time and I must say the man looked good! He was in good shape, as expected, and even wrestled well as he mainly targeted MJF. QT Marshall was impressive as well as he performed some dives and such on his opponents. Dustin Rhodes was great as he handled The Butcher and The Blade and man, Dustin and DDP fought hard in this match and they were the main two stars of the bout. DDP even nailed the Diamond Cutter on MJF then a diving sequence occurred as Dustin and QT would dive onto Butcher and Blade, then DDP follows that up with a top rope dive onto everyone at ringside!! Crowd popped huge for this and QT would roll back into the ring, but only for MJF to roll him up from behind and secured the pinfall! DDP looked really good in this match and honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing him in the ring one more time.
PAC Vs. Darby Allin
This main event match was to determine who would face Jon Moxley next week on Bash of the Beach Part 2 in the #1 contender's match for the AEW World Championship at Revolution. This was a fast paced match as these two battled hard for that #1 contender's match spot. PAC was beating down Darby like no other as he really brutalizing the man, pretty much abusing him. Both men were on the top rope at one point when Darby out of nowhere hits a Crucifix Powerbomb!! Darby started making a comeback at that point and attempted to hit a Coffin Drop but PAC grabbed him and exchanged blows with him on the top rope. PAC would gain the upper hand as he knocks down Darby off the top and nails the Black Arrow for the pinfall victory! PAC gains the opportunity to face Jon Moxley in a #1 contender's match next on the Jericho Cruise for Bash at the Beach Part 2! Tony Schiavone tried to get a word with PAC after his victory and he states that since Moxley's injured, he should forfeit his spot in the match and give the #1 contender's spot to himself. Suddenly we cut to backstage and we see Moxley in an ambulance as he refuses to go to the hospital and exits the vehicle. He would storm to the stage with a microphone and simply tells PAC that next week, he will kick his ass! These two men would stare each other down to close out the show and man, we're in for a big fight next week for Bash at the Beach Part 2!
