10 Best Upcoming UFC Fights
The UFC is in an absolutely brilliant position - the upcoming fights are phenomenal and I just hope that none of them get called off so let’s just JUMP into the list of the best upcoming fights.
10) Jon Jones Vs. Thiago Santos - UFC 239
I have this at number ten as despite looking forward to this fight - it’s quite predictable. I do think Jones will win and even though this will be a tough fight for Jones; I still see him winning. This is a good fight which just goes to show how stacked this list is but this isn’t up there will the best upcoming fights however a good fight nonetheless.
9) Renato Moicano Vs. The Korean Zombie - UFC Fight Night (June 22nd)
8) Henry Cejudo Vs. Marlon Moraes - UFC 238
I enjoy this match up. Henry Cejudo - the flyweight champion who also has an Olympic gold medal in wrestling if you didn’t know takes on top bantamweight contender, Marlon Moraes. We’ll be covering this fight from all angles including what fights to watch before this mega fight ad my official prediction so stay stuck to the site. This is a good fight, Cejudo will definitely have his hands full in this match up and it’s going to be a good proper scrap for the future of the bantamweight division.
7) Yoel Romero Vs. Paulo Costa - UFC 241
This is going to be a great fight...if it happens. This is, what the third time? Fourth time - this times been booked? Anyway, I genuinely see this fight happening and it’s a great fight as I don’t know who would win. Yoel Romero is a massive middleweight and Paulo Costa is undefeated and this is his biggest fight to date. This is an incredible fight and the reason why it’s so high up is because it may not happen as the fight has been announced so many times.
6) Francis Ngannou Vs. Junior Dos Santos - UFC Fight Night (June 29th)
Even though this fight has been took away from UFC 239 - the card is still stacked which not many people agree with. I still believe UFC 239 is a fantastic card with or without this fight and obviously this fight would improve it, the card is still more than acceptable! This fight has been moved a week earlier than scheduled and it’s going to be a great fight and dictates who gets the next title shot after Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic go at it.
5) Daniel Cormier Vs. Stipe Miocic - UFC 241
Talking about Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic, here they are. This is a rematch from their encounter last year which was quickly over and done with after Cormier elbowed Miocic in a clinch and dropped the champ and then Cormier slapped Stipe with punches before officially becoming heavyweight champion. This rematch is great, I don’t really know when Cormier’s going to retire, could be after this fight or it can be in 2035 but I’m all for Cormier to resume fighting as he’s one of the best in the UFC.
4) Jorge Masvidal Vs. Ben Askren - UFC 239
This will be an interesting one I think. Masvidal is just coming off a big win from defeating Darren Till and Askren is riding off a big win after controversially defeating Robbie Lawler in his UFC debut. This is pure wrestler taking on Jorge Masvidal - a dangerous welterweight who hasn’t until recently got the attention he deserved. The winner of this will surely get a big fight, if not; the title fight after Covington gets his shot.
3) Amanda Nunes Vs. Holly Holm - UFC 239
Does Holly Holm deserve a title shot? Probably not - she is 2-4 in her last 6 fights and to be honest, I don’t see her beating Nunes. I can see Holm using her kickboxing experience however I can also see Nunes outboxing and outstriking Holly Holm. This will be a fanatic fight between the Rousey beaters and it’s going to be a test for Holm but also a test for Nunes.
2) Anthony Pettis Vs. Nate Diaz - UFC 241
This came out of nowhere didn’t it? Anthony Pettis is coming off a big win against welterweight veteran; Stephen Thompson and Nate Diaz is coming off of - a joint probably? This is a fantastic fight and I already sense an all out war in this fight. Diaz is going to bleed, Pettis is going to bleed and this will be a fight. If Diaz wins, then great, hopefully he’ll compete more but if he loses then he may never compete again as it’s took him 3 year to fight after his loss against Conor McGregor.
1) Tony Ferguson Vs. Donald Cerrone - UFC 238
This will be insane - Ferguson can take damage, Cerrone can take damage - they can and they will. Cerrone only fought last month and is already fighting next month band it’s going to be a tough fight for Cowboy as Ferguson may just be the best fighter in the division so it’s definitely going to be a fantastic fight for sure and the best upcoming UFC fight.
